A Brooklyn boy whose been lost in Tibet
I grew up in Brooklyn. It was Friday Night Lights in Flatbush. Football was life until a spinal injury ended my college career. A blow to my identity.
I started my career living Law and Order as a Manhattan Assistant District Attorney. I became a partner in a National law firm . Was a corporate litigator who also represented professional athletes and helped build The Florida Marlins Baseball Team. I was inducted into the Litigation Counsel of America, an invitation only trial lawyer honorary society whose membership is limited to 1/2 of 1% of American Lawyers . To balance life as a lawyer I joined One Heart World Wide , an infant and maternal health charity in the third world , created at the request of the Dalai Lama. I was Chairman of the Board of One Heart for 16 years . One Heart took me all over the world . Tibet , the Belgian Congo (where a Congolese soldier pointed an AK 47 at my heart) , the Jungle of Equador , where I was adopted by the Achuar Tribe. The elders believed I had the heart of a warrior . Some warrior. I cried at the ceremony. I have no bucket list. I’ve climbed Kilimanjaro , jumped out of a plane . Stood in the middle of a herd of wild mustangs and partied with Elton John at the Oscars. I have written speeches for political candidates. There is more but I will stop here. I have difficulty believing how incredibly blessed and diverse my life has been . Until recently screenwriting was a hobby. Now I am writing screenplays full time and have had a wealth of experiences to write about .
