For over two decades Carrie has produced, directed, shot, edited, and photographed for most of the major networks. She even hosted a Travel Channel series while juggling all the production roles. Her clients include CNN, Discovery, History Channel, Showtime, National Geographic, Roku, NBC, ABC, MTV, Vh1, OWN, TLC, CW Network, Lifetime TV, Oxygen, A&E and non-profit organizations. She enjoys working on all genres of non-fiction programming collaboratively or solo. “Often I am sent to remote parts of the world as a one-woman band to give voice to the voiceless, and bring home compelling stories. Or I receive a call to be ready in hours, head to a location and immerse myself in sub-cultures of America and abroad. Roughing it on long treks with gear on my back to capture the story has been the norm for the majority of my work. That’s when I am truly in my element.”
As a returned Peace Corps volunteer, environmental educator and media specialist Carrie develops tools for community organizing and better communications. She furthers the mission of many non-profits worldwide and has strategized on political campaigns and causes. She has created works for the United Nations and US State Department. She teaches digital storytelling to a diverse group of science students each spring with Rocky Mountain Sustainability and Science Network (RMSSN.org). Carrie is multilingual and can rap in African tribal languages, converse in French and Spanish, and quickly pick up local languages.
Carrie acts, sings and dances. Her voice has been featured in nationwide commercials. She is currently improvising with Change Through Play in Portland.
