A CHRISTIAN ROBBERY

A CHRISTIAN ROBBERY
By Aleksandr Rozhnov

GENRE: Musical
LOGLINE: After a kind/compassionate nurse tries to rob a bank to save his terminally ill daughter, he earns the trust of the hostages, and they defend him in court, giving him a second chance.

SYNOPSIS:

Robert is a 40-year-old nurse from New Jersey. He lives a modest but decent life: he has a wife, two little daughters, and dreams only of one thing — to preserve this cozy world for them. He is kind, empathetic, always there when help is needed — both at home and at work. But life throws him a terrible challenge: his eight-year-old daughter is diagnosed with severe kidney failure. Without an urgent transplant — she will not survive.

Medical bills exceed all limits. Credits are exhausted. There are no options. Despair forces Robert to take an extreme step — robbing a bank he knows well.

With no experience, no criminal past, with a faulty weapon, deceived by a dealer, he enters the bank. Hostages, panic, a rescue special operation... But something doesn’t go according to plan.

Robert, despite the situation, remains who he is — a human being. He helps a man with a heart attack. Delivers a baby from a pregnant woman. Comforts a woman who lost connection with her children. Among the hostages, something unexpected arises: understanding, compassion, respect... and even love.

When the police break into the bank, they arrest Robert. However, at the trial, former hostages come to testify on his behalf. They explain his motives and how he helped them during the crisis. The court listens carefully and decides to give Robert a one-year suspended sentence. Meanwhile, the bank agrees to grant him the loan necessary for his daughter’s treatment.

The family is together again. Though Robert is marked by his ordeal, he has found support and mercy, proving that even in desperation, humanity can prevail.

"A Christian Robbery" is not just a film about a bank and hostages. It is a musical parable about faith, kindness, and love, which sounds through despair in songs and explodes with hope on the screen.
