CONSENSUAL SEX

When a porn actress is offered one million dollars by a multi-millionaire to let him act in a porn film with her, she is assaulted and claims rape.
SYNOPSIS:
Jennifer Fortune, a porn actress, is offered one million dollars by Robert Wilson, a multi-millionaire, so he can act in a porn film with her, which features a simulated rape scene. But when the film is shot, she is assaulted by Robert, who punches her unconscious, and continues having sex with her.
Jennifer claims rape and the case is taken up by the DA's assistant, Rebecca Curtis, who leads the prosecution, against Daniel Freeman, who acts for Robert.
The case hinges on Jennifer's profession, and Robert is acquitted.
Later, Rebecca and Daniel become an item, to Jennifer's disgust.
Jennifer's feminist sister urges her to reject men and become a lesbian.
Jennifer finds some solace when she falls in love with Anna Talamon, a French porn actress,

What's the main character's goal, @Peter Gartner?
Her original goal is the make money, but after her experiences and the inevitable failure of the trial, she wants to find something to make her life worth living. Her sister encourages her to "find her inner lesbian" and reject men totally. She finds some redemption when she falls in love with Anna. She goes from being a shallow person interested in money, into someone who can understand human suffering.
