NTHABISENG MOKOENA (Director & Producer) Nthabiseng is a WITS University graduate in drama and film. Nthabiseng love for story telling has increased her ability to be able to interchange her role between director and producer.
When it comes to storytelling you cannot take short cuts, what makes people interested is how you tell your story. Currently joined the team of the Queen Season Finale for Channel 161 – Mzansi Magic. She just finished directing Umarried Season 3 :eps 1,2, 6,7, 12 & 13 as Series Director for Ferguson Films on One Magic. Other Work done The Wife Season 1 (eps 7,8,9,16 -21), for Showmax, Gomora (SAFTA Winner), Telenovela for Mzansi Magic and Ses'Topla (5 & 6) for SABC 1. Other work from Telenovela, Drama to Sitcom under her belt are Lithapo Giyani – Land of Blood, Makoti, Ikhaya 2, Single Guys & Single Girls, Keeping Score and Soul City 12. Nthabiseng has also developed and directed a short film called Lungelwa which was nominated for SAFTA #10. Lungelwa is a story of a young woman who lost her husband at the mine. She continues to develop concepts in the hope of getting a platform to tell more stories. Nthabiseng started her career in television as a production assistant. Over the past 23 years she has worked her way up from being a production assistant to the current role. Her production credits are 360 of all productions including reality shows to magazines and children shows.
