Jen McAuliffe hails from Australia, but in hear hear is a New Yorker. She is an award-winning TV and film writer with experience across mainstream and independent productions. She has contributed to the Neighbours writers room, was head writer for Eatwell with Emma Dean Christmas special on Network 9, and created the comedy short LipSmacker. Her work spans Fremantle Media’s Global Drama Script Club, script development, pitching, and continuity roles on Farmer Wants a Wife and Stargazing.
A cinephile at heart, Jen’s favorite films include Requiem for a Dream, American Psycho, Dark City, The Piano, and Reality Bites. She also loves TV shows like Seinfeld, Silicon Valley, Broad City, and Girls—keeping track of her extensive viewing list in a dedicated spreadsheet. Her spirit animal? Elaine Benes. She also loves theatre and has worked off-broadway in stage management and has commence playwrighting.
Now, with over 100 awards for her original script, Heartbreak Under a Neon Streetlight, Jen has obtained an O-1B visa to bring her exceptional screenwriting talent to the USA.
