Stan Ruszkowski

After 45 years as a CPA, I'm taking a total leap of faith, and change in direction of my life (I'm 69), by entering the challenging opportunity of using my insight, experience, financial skills, drive, ambition, and creativity in the film and movie world. This last year I've been involved with funding of two films, presenting financial/funding opportunities for several other projects, putting at risk my own funds, and now writing my initial screenplay. Honestly, I've never been more excited and enthusiastic about my work desires and efforts. I've come to embrace the industry, love the challenges (and frustrations and disappointments), have been endeared and mentored by industry experts, and contributed to the development and funding of a $16 million project , in which I will be credited as an Executive Producer. My role in this project, has presented me with more knowledge and exposure to the trials, tribulations, successes and frustrations of making a movie than I ever expected. I believe , by this hands on experience, I've learned and developed skills and insight to the film industry that are comparable to the education of going to film school.

My ambition, drive, self confidence and persistent attitude , has encouraged me to write my first screenplay. In my heart, I know I'm creating a film that will be a unique , over - the- top, family - friendly (for the most part) outrageous comedy. This quadrant, rom - com, embraces two favorite Southern passions - Racing and Country Music. In short - A RAUCOUS and AROUSING SOUTHERN/REDNECK PARADISE!

Now, the real work begins to get the collaboration, talent, financing, direction, distribution, and all the other intricate project details and requirements together, to make my vision a reality. I strongly believe I'm onto something promising and special, to present joy, happiness, and laughter to a world desperately needing this kind of SOUTHERN COMFORT!
