Alexander Hamilton. I had a history teacher in college who told the story of Alexander so vividly, that I felt like I was right there watching as he fought in the revolutionary war, was personal assistant to Washington and helped with some brilliant strategy during the war. Washington saw the brilliance in his mind and loved having him around. His ideas were so far ahead of his time, they could not be understood until much later. When my teacher got to the part where he was killed in the dual, it effected me the rest of the day. It felt like he had just died. I have to admit, I had a mild crush on a man who had died some 200 years before.
George Washington
