Screenwriting : When do you come up with ideas? by Oded Nave

I come up with an idea that I think is my best one, Oded Nave, then I come up with one that's better. What about you?

I misread your post when I first commented, Oded Nave. I come up with my best ideas when I mix two movies/shows together. And when I'm doing things and an idea comes to me.

They tend to sneak up on me lol I pretty much never see them coming. Finding Elpis came to me when I was watching Rammstein’s music video for “Amerika.”

At work because I need something else to think about.

From dreams, or throughout my day by people watching.

My ideas usually come when I'm doing something other than actual writing. In the shower, going for a walk, listening to music. Once I have one idea then others follow.

I think it's a combination of long walks/runs or at points on some of my vacation trips. Sometimes it's from other films and tv shows I use a concept and twist it around with a different genre to bring a fresh perspective.

Meditation. My subconscious (dream weaver) always seems to know what my consious can sometimes struggle to grasp when I work on a writing project.

Pretty random. While I’m working, reading, when I wake up, Or while I’m working on other projects. Also dreams.

I usually get those ideas in the shower or the bathroom, and also in bed. In short, always when I don't have a pen and paper.

I think we all get our first ideas from places we expect less, maybe in a class room, maybe metro station and even bathroom. So, it's pretty random.
