Hello all!
I am Bekah, and I am reaching out from North Dakota, USA! I have just recently joined Stage 32, thanks to an amazing professor at my college, with hopes of meeting other creatives in similar fields.
A little about me:
I will be graduating in the spring of 2026 with my bachelor's in Creative Writing, with a concentration in Screenwriting.
This is my second go at higher education. I originally went for Biology right out of high school, but my advisors at the time trash-talked how I was not going into a field that made money (I wanted to rescue and rehab wildlife), so I dropped out to get away from that destructive mindset. Not my proudest moment, but I do not regret the decision!
I have since gotten married, had a son, and have gotten the chance to visit some amazing places with my husband's work, including my "soul home", Iceland. We spent a whole summer in Iceland, and I count the days until we can return.
I am working on my first book, which I plan on self-publishing just so I can get my toes wet and figure out the ropes of publishing. I will hopefully have my first book ready to go in the coming months, but I am in no rush either. I attached the cover I have made for it, just for flare.
My first full-length script is also almost complete, and it has become my baby. It is a fantasy thriller, which is a little out of my comfort zone. I am not confident in thriller or horror-themed genres yet, but I am extremely proud of how far I have come with this one. Growth in my writing is extremely important to me, so to visually see that growth within my copies of a script is an amazing feeling.
My passion is epic fantasy, which I have been working with for the last 10+ years by running a small online RPG community.
I do some digital artwork, it's a relaxing and enjoyable hobby, but I do not do it as much anymore due to other priorities.
I am also extremely horrible at writing bios and such. I am working on it with one of my professors, but I just have never been great at talking about myself, which I am sure is reflected here.
I look forward to seeing what Studio 32 has to offer, and meeting all of you creative minds!

Hey Bekah, I live in California - hoping to move to Bismarck in the next month for a state job in engineering.
I also write fantasy; I have 2.5 screenplays finished in a trilogy feature series. They're more action/romance than thriller, but it got me thinking that -- what if two completely different stories had intersecting characters? It'd be cool if more writers collaborated on stuff like that.

Hi Rebekah Niland! I’m Ashley, Head of Community here at Stage 32. Welcome, and thank you for such a beautifully honest and heartfelt introduction! Your journey is so inspiring, and I admire your resilience in returning to school to follow your passion. It takes real courage to change paths and commit to what truly lights you up creatively.
Your experience with epic fantasy and RPG storytelling is such a powerful foundation for screenwriting, and I love that you’re stepping into the thriller genre even if it’s outside your comfort zone. That kind of creative risk-taking is where so much growth happens. And I have to say, your time in Iceland sounds magical. No doubt that kind of setting and experience will find its way into your work!

Hi there, and welcome from a fellow creative soul! It’s awesome to see someone joining from North Dakota—I bet you have some unique stories to tell from there. Stage32 is such a great place to connect and collaborate. If you’re ever looking for feedback on your work or just want to talk shop, feel free to reach out. Wishing you lots of success! I had no idea what to write for my business management topic. UKWritings really came through when I placed an order at https://ukwritings.com/buy-assignment. I decided to buy assignment support, and they matched me with someone who clearly understood the subject. It was organized, well-cited, and ready to go!

J.B. Tueller I have honestly only driven through Bismark, but overall I have enjoyed ND. I came from MT in 2022 and have really enjoyed it!
The intersecting idea makes me think about the trend in the 90s when every show on TV had a crossover episode or two. I remember Scooby-Doo being one of the most notorious for this, even having a more recent crossover with Supernatural. I think it is a really cool concept and could help writers expand on their styles, especially writers like myself who are still learning the trade and its secrets. I know that just looking over scripts from other, produced films for my classwork expanded my perception.
Thank you for the warm welcome! It has been nerve-wracking to start my networking and job-searching journeys!
