Aloha James, I have submitted a feature film about arguably the greatest navigator of all time: Captain James Cook. I have spent many years writing and perfecting the screenplay for the world market. With a background in film, I am a former IATSE, Hawaii local 665, Script Supervisor and was inspired by local Hawaiians and British friends alike to explore and write the well researched and truth based, however fictionalized version of the events that occurred upon the dashing young Captain James Cook’s arrival into the uncharted south seas. The screenplay also explores Cook’s boyhood, humble beginnings and his journey to becoming a remarkable man of integrity and light and his love life and events leading to his untimely death, that were propagandized and even changed after he passed away, by one particular American Calvinist Missionary who wanted to take over the British Missionary Stronghold of that era. We can literally pinpoint the history books that were changed. The history is also well documented and I feel we have a more accurate and well rounded historical compilation of events than the older narratives that were blown out of proportion after Cooks death, and there were even a few of my own discoveries never before highlighted by most historians that are extremely important to the chain of events upon the British first contact, that he and his often times, unruly and sometimes sexcrazed seamen encountered, that ultimately led to Cook’s untimely death. The story is filled with surprises and beautiful moments that most people have no idea is the true history of James Cook the Navigator.
