Follows the lives of a group of young, eager, eccentric scientists and engineers working at the Quantum Dynamics Research Lab, a cutting-edge facility dedicated to exploring the mysteries of quantum physics and space throughout the galaxy. Set against the backdrop of the first futuristic city in space, the series combines scientific curiosity with quirky humor as the characters navigate the challenges of both their professional and personal lives.

CHANCELLOR VANESSA CARLSON

PILOT (INTRODUCTION TO SERIES) EPISODE
A PAIR OF DOCS (Charlie’s Replicator Mishap)
COLD OPEN TO:
A PANORAMIC VIEW OF NOVA THE FIRST CITY IN SPACE
WE CUT TO:
THE QUANTUM DYNAMICS RESEARCH LABORATORY
Where WE MEET DR. EMILY CHEN, Experimental scientist, her teenage brother and equally brilliant lab assistant CHARLIE, and DR. SARAH THOMPSON, Engineer extraordinaire.
Sarah and Emily are currently in the middle of an intense game of chess, programming it into the main quantum computer, hoping to turn a regular game of chess into a game of QUANTUM CHESS.
Charlie’s in the midst of working on his current invention: Quentin the Robot, when something goes wrong with his replicator/duplicator invention while trying to materialize a cup of hot chocolate. It’s a rather large replicator, big enough to fit a human. He discovers a LAB MOUSE from next door has gotten into the works and eaten some of the wiring. No biggie. He’ll fix it later. Asks if anybody wants something from one of the bistros he’s going to for his hot chocolate. And return the mouse to the bio lab. Charlie makes a quick pet of the mouse.
Sarah makes a remark. Emily parries as Charlie leaves.
They next make remarks about who their new boss is going to be. Emily’s mad it isn’t her. Sarah doesn’t care. From what she’s already heard through the grapevine about him, she’ll have him crying like a little baby soon enough, she tells Emily.
Sarah gets called away for a repair, Emily follows—she’s bored.
As they leave, the replicator crackles back on, out crawls a rather evil, disturbed looking replication of the mouse Charlie’s hauled back to the lab, and scurries away.
CUT TO:
BACK ON EARTH AT A MAJOR SPACE TERMINAL
Dr. Simon Sparks is getting ready to take off in a space shuttle to Nova. As he gets checked in, he’s joined by Dr. Bharat Patel, his friend and colleague, who’s not really very happy he’s going, too. He’s been assigned a rather boring, mundane, beneath him job there—mapping, making star charts, updating their old ones. But Bharat refers to the job as making “roadmaps to the stars” making the job sound likes it’s a lowly sales job of selling maps to the stars’ homes in Hollywood.
There’s not enough room on the one shuttle, so the two have to split up and meet up there later.
Simon boards while Patel has to wait for the next shuttle.
ON BOARD THE SHUTTLE
Simon is kind of in a funk, alone. He was hoping he wouldn’t have to travel alone. But he is. UNTIL … he’s joined by a rather “chatty Cathy” type. Simon’s no social butterfly. Far from it. But, nevertheless, he gets caught up in a conversation he has no interest in, but will be an enlightenment by the talk for a later reference at the city and lab where he’ll be working. (Maybe the person is coming back from a lively party he/she attended on earth, worse for the wear and with tons of gossip to share.)

Does anyone have an idea of where/how we can submit our outlines? Thanks.
