THE TRIAL OF GOD - 35-minute play or film with 5 actors, 1 set
A religious comedy
Hello, I've had a few plays produced here in London, and the last one, SMALL TALK, has been translated into German and Russian. I am hoping for a good fate, too, for THE TRIAL OF GOD., a character intense comedy (a "beautiful comedy" says one actor who wants a role in. it). THE TRIAL OF GOD is a religious comedy illuminating one of those two topics we have all been warned not to talk about when drinking with family or friends (or strangers): Religion. One side of this issue is represented by a PROSECUTOR, putting God on trial for specified charges. Another is the DEFENCE ATTORNEY, who comes up with some unique angles to perform his duty. There's a JUDGE, a BAILIFF & STENOGRAPHER, and the JURY is represented by just one person (perhaps Everyman or Everywoman). : 5 actors only are needed and each can be of any adult age, race, gender, etc. We also need an experienced director and producer and a suitable venue (plenty of each exist in UK cities). Those who have read it say THE TRIAL OF GOD will make an hilarious 35-40 minutes of intelligent and even necessary comedy. Thanks for reading this.
