I have been a fixer for a whole decade and would usually do the basic production logistical work. But one project, changed my whole perception about me. In August 2025, I get to work on a medical documentary by Devex and Bill Gates Foundation, in my hometown Varanasi (in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India). I was told to do story producing and even field producing. That designation itself boosted such a big self-confidence in me, that I stopped seeing myself as just a fixer. And that confidence alone, has motivated me to work on two of my own personal projects this year. Such importance is of that 'one' project in all our careers.
