Kickin' Down The Gate - Jitterbug! End Credits Music.mp4

In the "Jitterbug!" screenplay the male lead quotes Langston Hughes and then replies: ("You are a child of night/Open wide your arms to life/Whirl in the wind of pain and strife/Face the wall with the dark closed gate/Beat with bare, brown fists/And wait." Brother Hughes wants us to be patient but I can't wait no more. I'm kickin down the gate. And you're comin with me... There's a better life on the other side and no one's gonna stop us from havin it.) The female lead responds: (I'm afraid. I don't think I can follow you though that gate.) And to that he says: (Darlin, you aren't following me, we're dancin through it together... I can't do it without you. Without you, the gate won't fall. Without you... I'll topple over.) Which inspired this song for the End Credits. With the help of SUNO, I was able to create an uplifting song with a Big Band feel.
