PN Mathenjwa appears as The Priest. He is joined by Chutny Venus (@chutny_venus) and Bithia, who represent The Magician viewer archetype. This video was made during Mathenjwa's 13 month ethnographic field research into his Netizen target audience. The character of The Priest evolved into Rebble Pebble during the Resemiotization (Iedema, 2003) process of Mathenjwa's qualitative and quantitative data. Part of ethnographic research means being stealthy. Recording notes in the traditional sense is dangerous and not very conspicuous. By documenting his impressions through video pieces like these, Mathenjwa was able to capture the essence of his audience, without meeting some of the cognitive-blocks that traditional data collection methods present.
