Go Indie Now at the Slamdance Film Festival 2021 w/filmmaker Jason Polevoi of A Tiny Ripple of Hope

Continuing Go Indie Now's coverage of the 2021 Slamdance Film Festival Joe Compton sat down with filmmaker Jason Polevoi, who produced and directed the documentary A Tiny Ripple of Hope. This documentary follows a year in the life of Chicago activist and owner of the Non-Profit My Block, My Hood, My City, Jahmal Cole. Shining a light on all that Jahmal does for the southside community to give young men and women the tools, experiences, and life lessons that make a person whole and gives them perspective and opportunities they may not otherwise have had. We talk about Jason's experience not just with the film but his life experience and his love for the place he calls home in Chicago, why Jahmal was the one he wanted to follow and highlight, and how he got so much more than he expected to cover with this film.
