New Orleans photographer Jackson Hill’s video “3 Songs From Trailer Hell” has been chosen as an official selection of the 2011 Toronto Independent Film Festival (film-fest.ca/2011lineup.htm). The 10 minute music video featuring Brookhaven, Mississippi’s beat eclectic singer/songwriter Mike J. Case will screen at 7:30 pm Thursday Sept 15 at Toronto’s 700 seat Underground Cinema (torontoundergroundcinema.com/) Mike J. Case has been singing and writing songs for decades and yet the finger of fame has yet to point him out. Off the grid and politically incorrect, Mike is the genuine Mississippi eccentric writing and living and singing songs without compromise. Shot on location at Mike's hand-built cabin deep in the pine woods outside Brookhaven, Mississippi, this film features Mike singing three songs from his 'Trailer Hell' collection. You may think you won't get hooked by such a rough hewn character as Mike Case, think again. Filmmaker/Photographer Jackson Hill works out of New Orleans and has known Mike since they were boys. This is Jackson's first video. It premiered to a very live audience April 9, 2011 at the Lincoln County Music Awards.
