#TeamOscar2015 - a 60-second movie based on the best piece of advice you've ever received. "Unexpected Offer" a short film by Yana Milanberg, Tyler Onassis, Inna Muratova. Written by Yana Milanberg. Synopsis Present day. A hotel room in New York City, room 1208. In numerology, 1208 is the number 11, which is a Master number. "The 11 symbolizes the potential to push the limitations of the human experience into the stratosphere of the highest spiritual perception; the link between the mortal and the immortal; between man and spirit; between darkness and light; ignorance and enlightenment. This is the ultimate symbolic power of the 11." The Girl comes inside the room of dead movie icons from the 1950's, Elizabeth, the Actress, and James, the Talent. She knows they are in town, in this mysterious room because she is psychic. Elizabeth's devotional love for James leads her to check the girl's energy first before presenting her to the Talent. After the Girl demonstrates how she can treat both darkness and light, noise and silence, by taming the foxy Actress, she gets the offer to become a personal assistant to James. James, even though dead, is also psychic. He hears the wisdom inside the girl after they communicate with eye contact. He hears her inner monologue : "You should never ask anyone for anything. Never - and especially from those who are more powerful than yourself. They will make the offer and they will give of their own accord". James recognizes that quote from "The Master and Margarita", a satirical novel with magical realism elements by Mikhail Bulgakov; a quote that has served as advice for the Girl's life philosophy. The Girl is in the club. She gets a black card - the permission to enter this room and connect with the mysterious after a day of work at the chocolate shop. ____________________________________ Hey guys, we would like to hear your comments, if you like our work please LIKE our video on Youtube!
