Synopsis- The play is about redemption, faith, hope, and forgiveness. Based on a true story, Sultan Ray (main Character) struggles with a severe addiction to Crack Cocaine. The play highlights and addresses the complexities of Drug Abuse, Domestic Violence, and Dissolution of family and as a result leads to a spiritual death. It takes a raw unflinching look at the devastation caused by addiction not only to family, friends but also to the community at large. Although the opening of the play is uncompromising in its depiction of the main characters deep struggles with the disease, the message is clear; that an individual can be redeemed regardless of the circumstances becomes evident as the play closes. The play also takes an in depth looks at as a community, members can help create safety, accountability and take responsibility as a whole when not everyone feels comfortable.
