Computer Literacy in Toledo, Ohio

According to statistics from Connect Ohio (http://connectohio.org/ecommunity_str...), only 81% of residents in Lucas County own a home computer and only 71% have a home internet connection. People who lack basic computer skills are at a huge disadvantage when it comes to finding work or keeping in touch with loved ones. Our world today is so built around technology that if you're not familiar with computers it is all too easy to be left behind.

I recently spoke with Richard Losie-Rife, who is one of the Associate Directors for Workforce Development for Goodwill Industries. He runs the Computer and Life Skills program in Toledo, Ohio which offers free computer training to anyone that wants it. Richard was nice enough to sit with me and talk about the program. You can also read more about the program at their website: http://www.goodwillnwohio.com/elearning.html
