The Alpha wins Best Feature Script with The LA Sun Film Fest
The Alpha is predominantly a horror film and I entered it in the Horror category. Very pleasant surprise to see the script transcend Horror to win Best Feature Script.
Alex, thanks, The story is derived from a true event where the US Gov't secretively conducted underground nuclear testing in 1964 without informing local residents. Fictionally, the detonation was not contained as planned and exposed a soldier who is part of the experiment to radiation which turns him into a Zombie but not the conventional stereotype. The Gov't struggles to put the cork back in the bottle, so to speak, ultimately to no avail.
