I'm very excited by the fact that my Canadian-Scottish story resonated with the judges of the PEACHTREE VILLAGE FILM FESTIVAL in Atlanta, Georgia enough to make it an OFFICIAL SELECTION in the 2026 competition.
SHADOW IN HAWTHORN BAY has amassed 21 awards over the last 18 months inspiring me to continue writing and engaging with the Stage 32 community.

Well this is exciting news, Shadow In Hawthorn Bay has just been upgraded to FINALIST in the Peachtree Village International Film Festival! November 05-08, 2026.

Hi Zoltán Varga, thank you for your interest. I believe the awards may have contributed to me securing representation with WOOLF+LAPIN after a Stage32 pitch. That said, the script itself was probably the biggest factor. Stephan Dubreuil and I are now actively pitching. We came close to a sale with a Toronto-based company who, unfortunately for us, received good news on other projects already in their pipeline, so they felt they would be stretched too far.
