In January, I completed my first Stage 32 screenwriting course. Over eight weeks, under the mentorship of Chisom Ude, I developed Remain, a story about a group of salon workers who fight back against corruption threatening their community. I didn’t think I could work that intensely, but Chisom pushed me to focus on the core of the story. I’m thrilled that Remain has been recognized this year as one of the top scripts at the Hispanic International Film Festival. I don't think I would of tried this alone, but now I know I can, I will again.....
