Recently I saw trailer Weapons and I was convinced that this is another PR thing that we have saw during Longlegs, you show good teasers and trailer and hype the audiences, and then the movie releases with subpar story and terrible jump scare, this is what I wrote in the comments section, and one of the guy assured me that he has read the screenplay and the story is really unsettling and has some really good scares. i kept wondering where did he read the screenplay, then I used chatgpt to get me the screenplay, turns out the screenplay was only given in closed circle to bidders to read, after selling, it was locked away.
Do you think it's going to something original ? or it's just hype like longlegs.
where do you get read screenplays for unreleased movies?
why are there so many people who have read Weapons screenplay, if it was just in closed circle?
I'm not sure where to get screenplays for unreleased movies, Rahul Sonawane, but I think Weapons is going to be something original. I think there's going to be a big twist(s).

Maurice Vaughan I am disappointed in Hollywood horror movies recently, for the sake of stories we forget to scare people, so I have been dwelling in thai horror movie recently, I watched so many and most of the were terrifying and unsettling, which is something hollywood needs to learn, how to build up a scare, I can't name one but here are few I would recommend you watch, Satan Slave series, home for rent, the medium, pee mak.
some turkish movies, the siccin (don't know which part) Dabbe the possession,
last good american horror movie I liked was the hereditary.

Hereditary was scary and built up the scares, Rahul Sonawane. Movies like Smile 2, Cuckoo, Mr. Crocket, Oddity, Outside, and Never Let Go were scary and built up the scares too. Thanks for the other movie recs.

Maurice Vaughan i.liked smile but wasn't a big fan of 2nd, oddity was good but it didn't scare me, there are old movie that really good but I never mentioned them, have you seen black Sabbath 1963, the last story is so dreadful, and I really like those mind of movies, where the dread keeps building and then they scare you, it's like a release, usually jump scare bore me, I found Longlegs teasers really unsettling, those feeling are what I look in horror movies, sadly the movie didn't live up to the hype.
whats the one movie that scares you, everytime you watch it?

I haven't seen Black Sabbath or Longlegs, Rahul Sonawane. I'm not sure if there's a movie that scares me every time I watch it. Since I've already seen a movie, I know what's going to happen, so it's not that scary any more. I mainly write Horror mixed with other genres, like Horror Action, but I've been trying to come up with a really scary straight Horror script.

Mike Boas I think watching all those teasers, my expectations went High, Longlegs surely was the one of the good horror movies released that year, but still I wish there was more in it, scariest movie of the Decade, I don't think so. unsettling movie of the year, sure.
