For me, it’s the atmosphere. If a script can make me feel uneasy before anything terrifying actually happens, I’m hooked. Strong pacing, believable characters, and tension that builds naturally always leave a lasting impression.

Logan Smith Kill the protagonist in the opening scene and have him/her come back as a ghost. It's a comedy, right? The way you build momentum is finishing a script, reading it 100 times, constantly editing it and then asking (not a friend) someone to read it. Once you're through that point. You're one-half of one percent done. Now comes the hard part.
