Screenwriting : I got a Semi-Finalist recognition. by Sam Levy

Sam Levy

I got a Semi-Finalist recognition.

Late Post but a few months ago I found out on Film Freeway that I was selected as a semifinalist for the Inroads Screenwriting Fellowship for my screenplay "The Night They Raided The Grand Stanley". This is the first time I’ve received any kind of recognition for my screenwriting, and it feels like a huge milestone.

I know the semifinalist category can be a big list with hundreds of writers, but after years of writing mostly in private, this one really means a lot. I’ve been screenwriting for fun for about 10 years off and on (with most projects incomplete). But this past February, I finally decided to pull the trigger and submit one of my completed scripts to a few competitions.

Milestone it is! You’re further from where you started! Congrats!
