"Beyond the Arc" is a grounded character focused indie LGBTQ drama set in rural Eastern Kentucky. It's more about identify and masculinity than a typical closeted gay teen athlete story.
Logline:
After his sexuality is exposed, a star high school basketball player is ostracized by his team, abandoned by his community. When an openly gay former college athlete offers him a glimpse of a future beyond the shame and isolation that define his small town, he must decide whether to keep living for others—or finally begin living for himself.Your comments are welcome.

David, I like the "Beyond the Arc" concept!
If I may, I'd like to take a stab at the logline so that it says the same thing in 35 words or less (per the rules in another platform I'm on, www.scriptrevolution.com):
A star high school basketball player facing abandonment from teammates and the community after an involuntary coming-out wrestles with whether to keep trying to please others...or start living for himself.
You're also more than welcome to reach out to Maurice Vaughan...he's a master at creating loglines, and here's right here on Stage 32, too.
Glad you're here on 32...wishing you plenty of success with "Beyond the Arc" and all your other works!
I recently saw loglines defined as Who, Want do they want, and what are the stakes for them. Nothing else. So according to that logic, maybe something like, "After his sexuality is exposed, a small town high school basketball star must decide between being true to himself or facing social death."
