Hi everyone! I’m an aspiring screenwriter from Nepal with a strong interest in sci-fi, superhero, and original storytelling. I’ve been developing my own movie ideas and learning more about screenwriting and filmmaking.
I’m here to learn from experienced writers and filmmakers, understand how the industry works, and connect with other creatives. I’d love to hear what helped you improve your writing when you were just starting out.
Looking forward to learning from this community!

Welcome, Manoj. I think one of the biggest things that helped me improve was learning to look at a script beyond the basic idea and really understand why a scene, character, or piece of dialogue is there. Reading good screenplays and then comparing them with the finished films helped me a lot too. What kind of sci-fi stories are you developing at the moment?

Hey Manoj, this is Leonardo from the Stage 32 team. I just wanted to let you know I moved your post from Screenwriting to Introduce Yourself, as it fits much better there. Let me know if you have any questions, and all the best to you!

One trivial way to learn here. You probably know the rule that one can only be a good screenwriter if one is good at writing comments on scripts written by others. So volunteer to read scripts written by others.

One of the best ways to improve is to keep writing and actually finish scripts. Feedback matters, but completing stories teaches you a lot about structure, pacing and character development.
Hi, Manoj Malla! Welcome to the community. Great to meet you. Do your movie ideas take place in Nepal?
