I just finished editing a client's project, and one message they sent afterward has really stayed with me.

Before we started working together, they told me they'd had a disappointing experience with a previous editor and beta reader. They felt their manuscript had been rushed through, the feedback was vague, and instead of walking away with more confidence in their story, they were left feeling discouraged.

When we finished, they told me it was the first time they'd felt an editor truly understood what they were trying to achieve with their story.

That reminded me why I love doing this.

Whether I'm working on a novel or a screenplay, I don't see editing as fixing someone's writing. I see it as helping writers tell the strongest version of their story while protecting the voice that makes it unique.

I work with both novels and screenplays, offering editing, beta reading, story feedback, and formatting. Over the years, I've learned that thoughtful, honest feedback can completely change how a writer sees their work. Sometimes all it takes is a fresh set of eyes that genuinely wants the story to succeed.
