Introduce Yourself : A Disaster Drama for Studio-Level Readability by Pravash Chatterjee

A Disaster Drama for Studio-Level Readability

I’m a screenwriter currently focused on developing character-driven, socially grounded feature films with strong commercial potential. I’m excited to share that my latest feature screenplay, THE STORM SURGE — a coastal disaster drama — is an official entry in the 2026 NRDC Climate Storytelling Fellowship.

The Storm Surge follows a marine engineer and an ecosystem scientist who rally their coastal Louisiana community to protect their ancestral land as rising seas, bureaucracy, and an oncoming hurricane collide. The script explores resilience, science, and community under pressure — grounded in realism rather than spectacle for its own sake.
