The Cannes Film Festival can be overwhelming when you plan to attend for the first time. Over 12,000 film industry professionals head to Cannes each year to present and discover almost 4,000 films and projects in development at 33 screening venues.
In this free webinar we’re bringing in the Executive Director, Guillaume Esmiol to talk about the festival and how to navigate it. Now, you’ll get to hear straight from the source on how to make your Cannes experience work for you. You’ll walk away from this webinar able to arrive on the Croisette ready to make things happen!

Hi! One question about the market: how to have access to private events if I have the classic badge (no industry badge)? I realized is it the easiest way to have public relations!

Could you tell us a bit on when we will get the Cinando access? I received my Marche accreditation on February 10, but still didn't get my Cinando activation email.

I will be buying a badge in advance. So does one pick the badge up there? I assumed I would have it in advance.

Barbara Neri - you pick up your badge on site at the Gare Maritime - he just pointed it out on the map so when you replay the webinar you can see exactly where to get it.

Question:
Bonjour Monsieur Esmiol,
How do production companies strategically use film projects to secure Marché du Film accreditation and bring emerging talent, and which project qualities stand out most for priority invitations?

I think of Cannes as the premiere film festival for art house film. Where do writer directors with projects meet producers and investors? Is this catch as catch can? Are parties available to everyone with a badge, or only at the top level badge holders.

Hi: I would like to show short clips from works-in-progress on my ipad to any buyer who may be interested. Is this a good idea? Or is it better to try and arrange a more formal meeting instead?

Hi: This is my 3rd market. Will we be able to order festival film screenings online this year or will we have to get to the ticket window at the Palais on the day of the screening?

Hello Stage 32 team,
Thank you for organizing this webinar with Guillaume Esmiol.
My question:
For writers with a strong slate of completed feature screenplays across genres (including elevated horror, thriller, and prestige drama), what is the most effective way to approach Cannes if the goal is to build meaningful industry relationships rather than simply pitch one project?
Is it generally more effective to present one flagship script, or to position oneself as a writer with a cohesive body of work ready for different buyers and markets?
Thank you for supporting the international writing community.
Warm regards,
Charmane Wedderburn

Keith Milburn - to RSVP for the Women in Film panel that I will be speaking on you will need a badge: https://www.stage32.com/meetups/2068/PANEL-Women-in-Film-Building-Collec...
We are the education partner of FilmUSA and will be presenting at panel on Saturday May 16 at 3pm, that will be listed in our meetups as well (details to come).
The Stage 32 pop up at Brown Sugar runs Saturday through Tuesday and you do not need a festival badge for that. Our founder & CEO, RB, will be taking over the bar and naming it "RB & Gary's Brown Sugar" from Saturday to Tuesday, so be sure to come by at night to hang with the Stage 32 team!
And, we have so much more in the works we're announcing soon!
We'll be announcing our full lineup of events on the Stage 32 blog: https://www.stage32.com/blog
