Hello Everybody! I’m developing a new fantasy/creature-based IP called Realmon — an original world built from the ground up with unique elemental typings, lore, and evolving creature lines.
I’m aiming to shape this into a market-ready concept that could fit animation, games, or publishing. I recently completed a few visual mockups (from hand-drawn concepts to full art), and I’m now working on expanding the creature roster and tightening the internal rules of the world.
I’d love feedback from creators, writers, producers, artists, and anyone who builds original IP. What makes a creature-driven universe stand out to you? What elements help something feel commercially viable or pitchable?
Open to thoughts, constructive notes, or questions.
Thanks for taking a look!

Hey, Matthew Wach. Catchy title. One thing that makes a creature-driven universe stand out to me are the designs and features of the creatures. And how the world plays a part in the story. These things help make a project marketable in my opinion. And a hook for the project.

Really cool art Matthew Wach - and congrats on creating this universe! If you’re leaning into animation for your world I personally feel that your characters have to have heart and depth. It’s one thing for them to look cool, but it makes your world come to life when you can sympathize and empathize with your characters. I love the characters built in INSIDE OUT - so well drawn. Maybe watch that for inspiration as you’re creating your characters.

hey Maurice Vaughan The core hook of my world:
A MEWtated world where humans and Realmon coexist, battle, evolve, and build bonds — forging partnerships, rivalries, and destinies.

Amanda Toney Thank you so much for the feedback! I really appreciate it. The Realmon definitely have heart and personality — and there are many more on the way! Stay tooned! The MEWniverse is just getting started.

Matthew Wach You need to START somewhere. Shape ONE media - like a game or a film or a graphic novel. Get it to market If that one does well, then consider expanding it into another media. WHY? They are all very different media and markets and audience does not necessarily cross over. And adding markets and media types expands say, a $1m project exponentially to $10m or $50m and frankly that means almost no one has the money to create it even if they like it, and literally no one with the money will risk it on unproven IP and unproven creator. Do what can be done NOW and go from there. This is the difference between a serious creator/filmmaker and someone who wants to stay living in the fantasy.

I think that's a fantastic hook, Matthew Wach! I can see there being video games, merchandise, etc. down the line.

Shadow Dragu-Mihai, Esq., Ipg Wow, I’m genuinely beyond appreciative of that reply. Seriously — thank you.
If you’d ever be interested, I’d love to share more about Realmon.
I’ve developed the full concept and the architecture of the world, and I think you’d get a kick out of how deep it actually goes.

Maurice Vaughan That’s exactly the long-term dream — a full game/Anime franchise built from the Realmon universe! I really appreciate the encouragement. I’ve been developing the architecture and depth of the MEWniverse for a while, and hearing that others can see the potential means a lot. Thanks again!

I love it! I’m an animator myself and I like what I see I would say I would turn this into a cartoon animation.

Maurice Vaughan David Lee Melton Thank you both — that means the world to me! Realmon is something I’ve been crafting for a long time, and hearing that it reads like an animation-ready concept is seriously motivating. I’ll definitely keep sharing updates as the MEWniverse evolves. I’d love to hear any feedback or thoughts you have along the way!
You're welcome, Matthew Wach. Okay, no problem.
