I want to share this interesting article, by Guosheng Hu, with those involved in post production. I cam across it this week when doing our Visionaries Of Light segment on our Aeirth Quantum Report. We're developing quantum physics and quantum compute solutions to imaging in film and other industries. Of course, as filmmakers ourselves, VFX are a main focus of our development. Basically, this and other recent quantum physics phenomenon allow the detection, or in post, the true simulation, of light hitting your camera in a scene. Similar to current path tracing, but more than orders of magnitude faster, and with absolute true fidelity. Similar methods are being explored for fluid dynamics, volumetric effects, etc. Guosheng Hu is a researcher in quantum information science who developed a novel theoretical framework for quantum color graphics and digital image manipulation. In his 2025 publication The Chaotic Art: Quantum Representation and Manipulation of Color, he demonstrated how to process digital color channels using quantum bits. His experimental work implemented color qubit representations and quantum image generation routines using Qiskit on IBM Q hardware. Hu’s research bridges classical color theory with quantum mechanics, laying computational groundwork for future quantum image processing and visual software. I wanted to get the opinions and ideas of the editors and CGI people in the group. Hope you enjoy the read: https://arxiv.org/abs/2509.03542

Shadow Dragu-Mihai This is a fascinating topic. I haven’t had a chance to read the article yet, but I’m looking forward to diving into it and learning more about how quantum computing could influence imaging, VFX, and post-production workflows.
The possibilities around faster rendering, more accurate light simulation, and new approaches to visual creation are really exciting. I’m interested to see how this technology develops and how it could eventually impact the tools filmmakers use every day.

That's an interesting point. To blend all this with Music often has to support exactly that invisible rhythm, sometimes by doing less rather than more.

Cyrus Sales Thanks. We've just accomplished ray tracing with quantum processes in-house! Now moving on to color representation.
