GENRE: Drama / Road Movie / True Story
LOGLINE: Determined to pursue his master's degree despite all odds, a young Iraqi student embarks on a high-stakes, 52-hour solo journey to an Iranian university—promising his skeptical friends he'll be back home for a traditional breakfast with his mother.
SYNOPSIS: > In February 2024, Montader, a 24-year-old ambitious student from Babylon, Iraq, faces an academic setback at home. Refusing to let his dreams fade, he resolves to gain admission into Urmia University of Technology in Iran.
With zero knowledge of Farsi, no Iranian currency, and traveling alone across international borders for the first time, Montader sets off at 5:00 AM. Along the way, he encounters unexpected guardians: a sharp security officer who protects him from border scammers, and a group of warm-hearted young Iraqis who feed him and guide him through transit hubs.
Upon completing his registration, exhausted after 30 straight hours without sleep, he makes an audacious bet with his new friends: he promises to travel back through snowy mountain passes and be home in Babylon in time to eat a traditional breakfast with his mother the very next morning.
Fighting extreme fatigue, navigating a severe blizzard at the mountainous Haji Omeran border crossing, and catching back-to-back night buses, Montader battles the clock. At 8:30 AM on Thursday—exactly 52 hours after his journey began—he walks into his family home, kisses his mother's head, and sends a photograph of the dish to his disbelieving friends.

Interesting story, Al. The 52-hour deadline gives the journey a natural sense of urgency, while the promise to return home for breakfast with his mother adds a very personal and human element. Best of luck developing it further!
