My husband John and I have co-authored our memoir, a true love story (pen names Beth and Jim Aubrey). The Long Flight Home, A True Story of Years Lost and Love Found chronicles a transatlantic love story that began in the 1960’s, when a teenage girl from a small town in Kentucky wrote a letter to an unlicensed “pirate radio” station broadcasting from a ship anchored in the Irish Sea. Her response came from a teenage boy from a fishing port in the Northwest of England. After becoming best friends via written letters, they lost touch due to unfortunate circumstances in the girl’s family. They were lost to each other for 42 years, but ultimately reunited…all because of the discovery of a worn bookmark once sent in a pen pal letter.

We are currently seeking direction regarding adaptation of our book to screen.  We appreciate all information regarding next steps, including funding.  We are working on developing a movie trailer because we are “dreamers of the day” who act on our dreams "with open eyes, to make them possible” like T.E. What an amazing story Pam! I think you’re going to find this webinar super helpful for where you guys are at right now with the project. Wishing you the best of luck - it would be a great to see your story make it to the screen! https://www.stage32.com/education/products/how-to-adapt-a-book-into-a-film-or-series

Fantastic journey. That's so sweet you both co-authored your story. Geoff F. writes the insider intel blog about the market and gives weekly updates - you might find those useful in regards to who is wanting what kind of story. Keep us all posted on your journey - sounds like the perfect ending to your story - a movie.
