Hello, everyone! I've just joined this community and am excited to meet other creatives operating in animation and screenwriting. I'm an independently published hybrid author with a publishing imprint, House MVP, through which I release illustrated fantasy novels whose illustrations link out to fully-voice acted animated shorts. All of the novels are my own and while owning an entire production pipeline is heavy work, it's fun work! I also provide production coordinator services to story consultants, independent producers and creative development professionals.
What sorts of things are you guys working on? What're you most excited about that you've got in the pipeline? I'm basically starved for a community of creative professionals in entertainment, so I'm really excited to meet new people here!

Welcome, Myranda! Linking illustrated novels to fully voice-acted animated shorts is a really interesting approach to building IP across formats. Curious whether you see the shorts primarily as an extension of the books, or also as a pathway toward larger screen adaptations?

Zoltán Varga Thanks! The shorts are extensions, and even optional to the full stories since they're primarily illustrated novels. But I do see the whole production as pathways towards screen adaptations - maybe starting off with an online web series and build from there (more feasible for me rn) unless I bump into the right people and we collab into something bigger!
