Hi everyone! A couple of months ago, I posted here a script for a short film my college cinema club "The 4th Wall" and I planned to make. We were struggling with it. But in the end, we made it! And we just shared it on YouTube. It got more than 100 views in the last 24 hours!
The movie, "8 DAYS", is a short romantic film about the ambiguity of feelings and the possibilities against fear. A girl notices some attention from her out-of-her-league crush during the final eight days of the scholar year. Will he make a move? Will he do something before the summer break starts? Must she do something? With the beautiful melodies of song "Lover Girl" by Laufey , we dive in the fantasy of the girl, mixed with her frustration as time passes.
This is my very first short film. I can't believe it's out here! I personally don't like it and see lots of mistakes in it. But that's the usual director's opinion. Meanwhile, I would love to hear your thoughts about it, and how to improve next time!
Hey Donia, this is Suzanne from the Stage 32 team. I just wanted to let you know I moved your post from Introduce Yourself to Your Stage, as it fits much better there. Let me know if you have any questions, and all the best to you!
Donia Caster Very nice, and shows a lot of talent. It's a special skill to show a narrative without dialog and this is great. Honestly, I would say the opening cut is a bit long, and some people might find the ending too ambiguous. It's actually a great entré into filmmaking IMO.
