Introduce Yourself : Media Management consultant by David Ibrahim

David Ibrahim

Media Management consultant

Hello Stage 32 community!

I’m thrilled to join this space alongside fellow filmmakers, creators, and storytellers.

My background lies at the intersection of media management, editorial leadership, and higher education. Having spent years leading newsrooms, training international media professionals, and lecturing university students in digital content creation and media literacy, my daily focus is helping emerging creators bridge the gap between creative storytelling and practical, real-world execution.

On the creative and technical side, my passion revolves around:

Visual Storytelling & Cinematography: Working extensively with mobile filmmaking rigs, compact systems, and high-contrast monochrome/noir visual aesthetics.

Audio Engineering & Post-Production: Emphasizing the power of sound design, pacing, and multi-track workflows to carry emotional weight in short-form and documentary narratives.

The Evolution of New Media: Integrating modern workflows—from mobile-first production to emerging digital tools—directly into the classroom so students learn to build compelling, well-crafted stories with whatever gear they have in their hands.

I joined Stage 32 to connect with working directors, cinematographers, sound designers, and producers, exchange insights on modern production workflows, and bring global, industry-standard practices back into my curriculum and mentorship sessions.
