I know I’m a little late to Introduce Yourself Weekend, but better late than never!
Hi everyone! I’m Sydney, and I’m part of the Stage 32 Education Team for those who may not know me. I’ve had the pleasure of working with so many of you, meeting you, and watching your journeys unfold over the time I’ve been here. One of my favorite parts of what I do is seeing creatives develop their ideas, grow in their craft, take chances, and keep moving toward the things they want to accomplish!
I’m always here if you need anything education-wise, whether you’re looking for a class, lab, webinar, or just aren’t sure what might be the right fit for where you are in your journey. You can always reach me at edu@stage32.com
A little about me outside of Stage 32: I live in Los Angeles by the beach, and I’m a photographer, yogi, and artist. I love exploring, trying new things, sunshine, helping people, and, probably most of all, learning. I’m always learning, always growing, and always curious about what’s next.
I’m so grateful to be part of this community and to get to work with so many talented, passionate people from all over the world. I love what you’re creating, I love seeing where your work takes you, and I hope we get to cross paths along the way!

Hi Sydney S, Great to know there's someone dedicated to the education side, that's such a valuable resource for a community like this. Living by the beach and staying curious sounds like a great balance to a role that's all about helping others grow. What's a class or lab you'd recommend for someone looking to sharpen their screenwriting craft specifically?

Thank you, Branson! And I appreciate you acknowledging the beach-and-staying-curious balance - it really is a pretty great combination. As for screenwriting, are you looking to start from the ground up, or do you already have a specific project or genre in mind? Are you looking to strengthen your craft, develop a script, or get better at pitching? Let me know where you’re at, and I can definitely point you toward a few labs that could be a great fit!

I’m a filmmaker and screenwriter, and I’ve really enjoyed being part of the Stage 32 community, connecting with other writers and filmmakers from different parts of the world. I’m currently developing my feature screenplay Pie & Coffee and continuing to learn more about the industry and the process of getting original projects into the right hands.
