My friend got me on here after his work got noticed and he found a US-based agent. I'm Murray from sunny Cape Town. I lived in China for 10 years working as an actor/writer in Chinese movies and TV shows. It was a very adventurous chapter!
I've now got 2 young kids under 5 and my creative life has been properly tested. That evil monster called Reality has reared it's ugly head and I’ve had to take on more practical work. But this year I’m making a promise to carve out more time for writing, because that’s where I feel most at home.
My main goal for 2026 is to get a mockumentary I wrote, Zoo People, picked up. Managed to scoop a little bit of development funding, and I’m determined to push it the rest of the way.
Very happy to have found this community where we can finally get our work seen. Find it very bleak creating in the shadows.
