Hi, I’ve been developing a retro sci-fi animated film for quite some time, and I’ve been trying to approach it in a slightly different way. Instead of focusing on exposition or constant action, I’m interested in how much can be conveyed through absence, environments that still function, but feel empty, and characters trying to relate to that. It’s a quieter tone than most sci-fi, closer to atmosphere and visual storytelling. I’d be curious to hear how others approach this balance between narrative clarity and silence in animation.
