Creating Under Pressure: Filmmaking Beyond Borders

Bonjour! My name is Alexey Krasovskiy, a film director and screenwriter originally from Russia, now residing in Paris. My journey began with experimental series just for two actors (over 120 million views on my YouTube channel). After - Collector, a feature film centered around a single actor, which achieved both commercial success and critical acclaim at festivals - https://youtu.be/Mn_fFhB1zVo

Subsequently, I directed The Holiday (Праздник), a dark comedy set during the Siege of Leningrad. The film sparked significant controversy in Russia, leading to its removal from YouTube and my designation as a persona non grata.

In response to the ongoing conflict, I co-founded “Cinema in Exile,” a collective of anti-war filmmakers committed to creating and promoting works that challenge the status quo and advocate for peace.

Now based in Paris, I continue to pursue my passion for filmmaking. Recently, my team and I completed a short film, and I am actively seeking collaborators—producers, writers, and actors—who are eager to push creative boundaries and engage with thought-provoking narratives.

If you’re interested in collaborating on projects that challenge conventions and provoke meaningful discussions, I would be delighted to connect.

Warm regards from Paris,

Alexey (Лёша)
