Toronto revealed that more than 130 buyers from 49 countries had confirmed they will attend the market, including major players like Metropolitan Film Export, Tobis, Eagle Pictures and A Contracorriente.
This will be an exciting time as the prestigious TIFF film festival launches its first film market offering. This opens a new window for sellers and buyers in the film business calendar.
The list of confirmed sales agencies includes Lucky Number, Filmax, CJ Entertainment, Global Constellation, Finecut, CJ Entertainment and SND. Other leading sales companies that have attended Toronto in previous years, such as Lionsgate, 193, Black Bear, Gaumont, Pathé Films and Embankment Films, are expected to attend again this year, Toronto claimed.
Participants also include national film bodies, representing a range of sales, production and distribution companies, as well as industry associations and guilds. These include Screen Australia, Korean Film Council, Unifrance, ICEX, European Film Promotion, Unijapan, BFI, Screen Ireland, Czech Film Centre, German Films, Polish Film Institute, AFCI and TAICCA.

It's looking like an exciting year for this hometown "film Christmas!"
Emily Schooley Absolutely, it will be really exciting to see how this develops. I anticipate enormous success with TIFF becoming an instant "go-to" film market like AFM, Cannes, Berlin. etc.
