Need visibility into streaming revenues

Folks keep telling me that shy of a $10m production budget and a distributor's commitment to a P&A spend to match, it is unlikely I can place anything in theatrical distribution, or survive a theatrical run with metrics likely to earn me meaningful distribution in subsequent windows.

With respect to writing a useful comparables table for a business plan, absent the transparency we have for exhibitor ticket sales for big screens, I have no idea where to find useful data from which I might legitimately educate potential investors.

I have also been told that most films play out their revenue potential in the first three to five years following release.

I keep noticing thirty-plus year old titles on amazon marketed as TVOD products.

I get the sense that statista may be collecting some useful data on the VOD markets, but have no idea if it is granular enough to support writing a comparables table. At any rate, based on the fact that they failed to respond to my price inquiry and the market reports they do sell are cost-prohibitive, I assume that even if they did, I would not be able to afford it.

What can folks advise me, please, about creating a meaningful comparables table, given these limitations?

Any pointers would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Indie films with no big names mostly disapppear into the void. In my HO. You need big name actors and directors. That means you need money. You mentioned 20 million with production and publicity included. If you get that money and the LOI letters, all the rest will magically appear. Doesn't matter if your script is AMAZING. You won't get distribution, or if you do, you won't make anything. Too many films to compete with.

There are exceptions. I'd LOVE to see recent ones that make money with no big names.
