Great news for filmmakers as indie film success keeps on rolling. Good overview of titles making waves:

Dangerous Animals had about 7 production companies in the title credits - combined indie power for the win.

Hi Jack Binder thanks for the share. Do you think these indie successes are due to the increase in quality of the films, or a change in strategy from speciality distribution companies?

Debbie Elicksen

Power to the indies, Jack. Thank you for sharing.

Jack Binder

Indeed! Debbie Elicksen My pleasure, thank you.

Hi Geoff Hall, my thoughts are that indie films are experiencing success currently due to several factors, which include the pullback of studio output, superhero fatigue, and netflix big budget formulaic disapointment. Audiences, for both family and indie films, seem to be leaning back into theatrical experience and more interesting stories. But, yes, quality, audience worthy writing and directing, and indie specialty distributors appear to see the opening and are pushing into it.

Geoff Hall

Jack Binder that's great to hear, Jack. I suppose that formulaic disappointment is also probably compounded by risk aversion, which just goes to show that it's not a great long-term business strategy.
