Working With A Director 2

Another set of storyboard I did on the Victoria’s Secret job with Madoff Productions. It was great working with director Jeff Madoff, CEO. One thing I learned in the comic book/film industries- learned about this from a pro-withhold visual information until the right moment. Leave no visual clues prior to that. If you notice in the second storyboard, one of the players takes off the football helmet and you see it is a Victoria’s Secret model. A cool visual storytelling hook/beat. The close up makes it click, the model looking at the viewer, smiling. Working with directors, you always learn something. Keep drawing, keep watching, listen and learn. Have a great weekends!

Thank you, everyone.

You're welcome, Rich Terdoslavich. Are finished storyboards always in pencil?

Rich Terdoslavich

Hi, Maurice. Sometimes, depends on the budget. I also did boards in Procreate, Fresco and have used Photoshop too. I like Fresco and Photoshop is great to tighten up the pencils, add textures etc.

Thanks for the answer, Rich Terdoslavich!
