Proof of Concept Approach - Controlled Short-Form Scenes (Looking for Collaborators)

I’m currently developing a series titled THE LINE BETWEEN, rooted in lived experience and built around psychological tension and perception.

Rather than jumping straight into a full pilot, I’m taking a structured proof-of-concept approach through controlled short-form scenes.

Each piece is designed to test a specific element of tone and execution:

  • Experimental (perception / atmosphere)
  • Psychological tension (structure / repetition)
  • Grounded realism (character / restraint)

The goal is to establish a clear visual and emotional language before expanding into a larger narrative.

Not looking to overexpose the full story at this stage - focused on building with intention and the right people.

Feel free to reach out if this resonates. I also have a one-page mini deck available for anyone interested in the overall tone and direction.

Kenny Luongo This is a really smart approach—building tone and language through controlled short-form before scaling up makes a lot of sense, especially for something rooted in psychological tension.

I like that you’re focusing on testing specific elements individually—perception, structure, realism—rather than trying to prove everything at once. That kind of clarity usually leads to a much stronger pilot later.

As someone working in storytelling and direction, this definitely resonates. Would be interested in taking a look at the mini deck and understanding the tone you’re aiming for.
