Orchestra of Snow – composed in 2003 on a Korg Triton Studio

Hello everyone,

I composed this piece, "Orchestra of Snow", in 2003 using only the 16-track sequencer of a Korg Triton Studio.

It was an orchestral composition created entirely with hardware synths at a time when virtual orchestras barely existed.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on it.

Thank you!

David Carter

Nice. Big sound always helps convince I think. I'd love to hear some quieter passages. I have some Korg stuff from the mid 90s; sopranino recorder, oboe, bassoon, cello, and trumpet. It took a long time to sound acceptable with those individual voices but listening back to it it sounds fine still. I also have a cold icy string section from the same piece. I'd be interested to know how much you think these work stations have progressed in maybe 9-10 years.
