Don't screw up your story is a cross pollination of industry expertise by Clive Frayne and Lucy V Hay. Sections are relevant to both screen play and novel writers. Aside concept/characters/plot as cover suggests the book also takes a deep delve into loglines & alternate psychological approaches to them. Structure is obviously key and the "Hook" explored further. Author's state they don't want writers to make rookie mistakes yet I feel the book is for any level and not only novices. A succinct and informative read, 170 pages won't take up too much time and the chapters are available separately in micro book.
The fresh eyes approach and quick fun exercises reeled me in. Surprisingly also, I consider new strategies I'd never thought of from the nuggets on writer's tools to navigate a path in certain areas.
